Of course there’s an incident, involving a certain bear and a very expensive gift he was saving up for, which goes missing. The Shape of Water (R) is in theaters now. It’s an interesting story about a mute lady janitor at a government research facility during the Cold War, who falls in love with a captive amphibian man. Their developing relationship is sweet, as they bond over food, music and sign language. Sally Hawkins is excellent as the lead, who is determined to save this creature at any cost.

What to Watch at Home (Or Not):
Bright (TVMA) This Netflix original is about a pair of cops who couldn’t be more opposite, learning to trust each other during a dangerous situation. Reminiscent of the 80s/90s movie/TV show, Alien Nation – this film replaces the aliens living among humans with mystical creatures, like elves and orcs. It’s an interesting twist, and the story unfolds well, for the most part, but with lots of violence.

Mother! (R) We decided to give this bizarre movie a chance, to see if there was anything redeeming or interesting about it. There wasn’t. It’s dark and confusing and violent and extremely disturbing. And why the heck is Jennifer Lawrence in it? Don’t bother seeing it, even if you get a free Redbox rental. Just. Don’t.
