What to Watch in the Theater:
Eddie the Eagle (PG13) opens today. A dorky optimist, a boozy has-been, and a dangerous sport come together with an 80s soundtrack for one inspiring and entertaining ride.

The Boy (PG13) is in theaters now. This disappointing thriller lost the momentum of its borrowed premise somewhere along the way.

What to Watch at Home:
The Gift (R) The creepiness of the story doesn’t make up for losing the feeling of suspense about halfway through.
The Anomaly (?) Bizarre story and cast are interesting, but is that enough?
Terminator Genisys (PG13) Does an alternate timeline change the original story too much? We’re split on this one.
