Monsters Hide in Different Ways

What to Watch in the Theater:
Monster Trucks (PG) is now in theaters. Fun family film that lost its way while facing obstacles in bad marketing, a studio write-down and mixed reviews. Decide for yourself – it’s not just for 6-year-olds.
Our rating: 4.5 out of 5

Split (PG13) opens today. Can we finally stop talking about M. Night Shyamalan making a comeback? The trailer about this split personality thriller may have stolen some of its suspense thunder. The film is entertaining, but doesn’t live up to its scare potential.
Our rating: 4 out of 5

What to Watch at Home:
Lion (PG13) Heartbreakingly based on a true story, this film chronicles a boy losing one family while gaining another, his aching desire to find the home he remembers, and his journey to reconnect with his homeland.
Our rating: 3.67 out of 5

Captain Fantastic (R) In this movie, we see a family of bright kids, that have been raised off the grid, educated in political theory and survival skills. The group has to come to terms with the loss of the mother and the disapproval of her parents. Heavy family drama with an R-rating purely for language.
Our rating: 4 out of 5
