Will Ferrell Interview

I was very excited to talk to Will Ferrell, as I’m a big fan of Elf (we watch it every Christmas). I didn’t get to mention that to him, as the carpet was very busy, and I only got to ask him one question.

This interview took place at the premiere of The LEGO Movie at the Regency Village Theater in Westwood, on February 1st, 2014. Currently, you can find Will onscreen as the head of Mattel in Barbie, and lending his voice to scruffy little dog, Reggie, in Strays.

Blue Beetle Interviews

Becky G (voice of Khaji-Da)
This was my very first time talking to Becky G, back when she was part of the group known as BCG. I’ve watched her career take off since then, both in music and acting, and talked to her a couple more times as well. This was at a music event, a party before the American Music Awards. It took place on November 20th, 2010.

George Lopez (Uncle Rudy)
I always had fun talking to George on a red carpet, but for this one, I was a little nervous, because it was my very first one. This interview took place at the El Capitan in Hollywood, at the premiere of Herbie: Fully Loaded, on June 19th, 2005.

David Dastmalchian Interview

I interviewed David at the Children Uniting Nations Oscar viewing party, which took place on March 7th, 2010 at the Beverly Hilton. This shows a little behind the scenes at a charity event.

He may have done some pretty scary movies recently, like The Boogeyman, and now The Last Voyage of the Demeter, but he’s really a very nice and friendly guy!

Jackie Chan Interview

It’s fun to get some behind the scenes from the actors, like Jackie shared about training. Here you get to see a little behind the scenes on red carpet interviews. In this case, media outlets were grouped, so that we could each ask Jackie one question, but also record the questions asked by the other outlets. That helps give interviewers more material, although it does make editing the clips a little more difficult. In our final red carpet reports, we usually only included the question I asked. The exception to this is when I was in a group but didn’t get to ask a question. Most outlets were very polite in taking turns and only asking one question, but occasionally someone would yell out as many questions as they wanted, often getting those answers simply because they were the loudest. Luckily, this didn’t happen very often.

This interview took place at the Karate Kid premiere at the Mann Village Theater in Westwood on June 7th, 2010. You can hear Jackie as the voice of Master Splinter in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.

Only Murders in the Building Interviews

Martin Short (Oliver Putnam)
Yes, Martin Short is fun to interview. He’s so bubbly, and he’s also very nice. I love the liner he did for me! I spoke with him at the premiere for Legends of Oz, which took place at the Village Theater in Westwood on May 3rd, 2014.

Selena Gomez (Mabel Mora)
I love it when I get to interview someone multiple times over the years. It’s extra fun when the first time I interview them is when they’re just starting out in something big in their career, and then I get to see them grown in the industry. This interview with Selena Gomez took place at the Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End premiere at Disneyland on May 19th, 2007.

Although she had been on Barney and done some guest roles on Disney Channel, this was about 5 months before the first episode of Wizards of Waverly Place aired. I talked to Selena a few more times after this, and she always remembered me. I have enjoyed following her career since, and am a big fan of Only Murders in the Building. I’d love to catch up with her again sometime!
